Housing

  • Confirmation of your needs based on a questionnaire previously filled out and mailed to us.
  • Information on the local housing market – description and prices – and what to expect.
  • We look for and pre-select the housing that best meets your requirements.
  • We visit the houses and give you our objective opinion ( when it is possible ).
  • We give you a comprehensive description of the selection.
  • We arrange, according to your availability, a visit of the houses most likely to suit you.
  • We accompany you on the visits:two half-day.
  • We carry out the negotiations with the real estate agent.We check the lease prior to signature.

House purchase

  • Confirmation of your needs based on a questionnaire previously filled out and mailed to us.
  • Information on the local housing market – description and prices – and what to expect.
  • We look for and pre-select the housing that best meets your requirements.
  • We visit the houses and give you our objective opinion ( when it is possible ).
  • We give you a comprehensive description of the selection.
  • We arrange, according to your availability, a visit of the houses most likely to suit you.
  • We accompany you on the visits:up to four half-day.
  • We carry out the negotiations with the real estate agent.
  • We help with all the formalities if you wish (bank loans, deed signing, notary etc)

Extended assistance

  • Inventory of the premises and connection to the utilities (water, gas, electricity) and telephone (one half-day).
  • Overseeing the mover’s arrival.
  • Purchase or rental of equipment.
  • Car purchase or leasing.
  • Fixtures and fittings : plumbing, electricity…
  • Interior decoration.
  • Hiring of personnel (cleaning lady, cook, baby-sitter…).

Schooling

  • List of schools- state or private – French or international
  • Visiting the schools, meeting with school principals, registration help.

Administrative procedures

  • Resident’s permit per family.
  • Driving licence (an additional cost for any country outside the EEC driving licence)
  • Car registration (an additional cost for cars imported from any country outside the EEC)
  • Assistance according to needs : healthcare, government family benefits, etc…, : per hour.
  • Opening a bank account .
  • Insurance .

To manage the dual career move

  • Job hunting – setting up appointments with various organizations.
  • Assistance with files for administrative services : Pôle Emploi.
  • Meeting with an Outplacement Office for information about the necessary and various steps to be taken for the search of a job.
  • We provide a list of the clubs and associations your spouse might be interested in and bring her/him round to various ones.

A more complete service lasting 2 months may be available in collaboration with an Outplacement Office (Information upon request ).

Social and sports life

  • A welcome dinner party in a French family ( for foreigners and in Lyon area only)
  • Registration in a French language course (adapted to your needs and schedule).
  • Information on Lyon’s cultural programs, plus local tips and helpful hints.
  • Determining which “international” associations will help you become part of Lyon .
  • Finding the sports or cultural clubs that best suit you.

Follow-up

  • We keep in touch with you until you feel at home in Lyon .
  • There is a hot line at your disposal for any questions or problems that might occur.

Assistance for settling in

Monthly (6 months minimum):

  • An answer by phone to face any issue related to life in France.
  • A mediation by phone between the employee’s family and various organizations they may be in touch with: owners, administrations, stores…
  • A phone call every three months during the first year (every 6 months after one year), to make sure the family’s integration is successful.

This service does not include any visit. When necessary and with the approval of the employee’s company, a visit can be charged on an hourly basis or on a half-day basis.

Leaving

  • Administrative procedures and termination of contracts .
  • Fiscal quitus.
  • Overseeing your move .
  • Information on the country you are moving to .
All other services will be charged on an hourly fee basis: specific needs, document retrieval, selling of property, help in the renting or selling of real estate, finding a relocation agency in the country you are moving to…
